Edition #10: Resources across The Council Fund and Our Operator Network
About Us: The Council Fund is an operator-led venture firm investing in vertical AI for essential industries as part of Software’s Third Act. We also run an exclusive angel group and podcast for top operators, designed to inspire and attract the founders of tomorrow’s unicorns.
Our Latest Investment in Rosarium Health
In our last newsletter, we walked through our conviction in First Builders and our framework when backing these profiles of founders. It was no surprise when we decided to back Rosarium Health, an end to end platform ensuring patients age and recover with dignity at home through targeted home modifications. It’s an elegant solution connecting the key partners in a patient’s journey to live comfortably at home. Co-founder and CEO, Cameron Carter, clearly demonstrated his “deep expertise in value-based care models and operational focus to seeing the early traction and success with health plans.” Read more about our thought process to invest in Rosarium Health.
This investment also highlights the power of our angel community; one of our members scouted this deal for our fund which earned her carry in our fund!
In addition to Rosarium Health, we’ve invested in 3 other companies across manufacturing, repair maintenance, and a better health insurance plan created for this generation from Fund II. More details will be shared soon. For now, we’re excited to share we invested in NOX METALS pre-seed round:

If you are a First Builder building vertical AI for an essential (think: complex, foundational) industry like healthcare, law, or manufacturing, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Terms for Founders and Investors to Bookmark
QSBS is a crucial topic for founders and investors to understand. QSBS enables investors to write off millions in capital gains and incentivizes early stage investors. The passing of The One Big Beautiful Bill marked beneficial changes so we recommend studying up on the impact. Everyone from limited partners to angels to early stage founders, should take advantage of this tax break.
We recently hosted a webinar on this topic featuring Alessandro Chesser, ex Head of Sales at Carta and founder of Dynasty and Catherine Kauffelt, a legal tax expert from EisnerAmper to dive into the details and share cheat sheets.
So you know, we regularly host webinars for founders, angel investors, and VCs. Don’t miss any of our future events!
Catching You Up on Our Next Set of Podcast Episodes featuring First Builders from Komodo Health, GC AI, Rezilient Health, and Atlassian
